This was an episode of Phil Donahue in which my father was a panelist discussing his coming out as gay to his wife and child. This episode also features a woman who's husband came out as gay.

Phil was also criticized for having a “known homosexual” on his show. But that didn’t stop him from continuing to bring on LGBTQ+ guests to discuss the vast array of issues facing our community, and he personally spoke out for our rights.
